award cermonies

The Oscars The Oscars (the official title was rebranded as The Oscars in 2013 – changed from The Academy Awards) is an annual American awards ceremony honouring cinematic achievements in the film industry. The various category winners are awarded a copy of a statuette, officially the Academy Award of Merit, that is better known by its nickname Oscar. The Brit awards The Brit Awards (sometimes stylised as the BRIT Awards; often simply called the Brits) are the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards, and the British equivalent of the American Grammy Awards. The awards began in 1977 as part of the commemoration of the Queen's Silver Jubilee and as an annual event in 1982 under the auspices of the British record industry's trade association, the BPI. In 1989 they were renamed the Brit Awards. MasterCard has been the long-time sponsor of the event. The MOBO awards The MOBO Awards for "Music of Black Origin" were established in 1996 by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell. The MOBO Award show is held annually in the United Kingdom to recognise artists of any ethnicity or nationality performing black music. The Grammys The Grammy Award , or Grammy, is an accolade by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and the presentation of those awards that have a more popular interest

  1. Well Done Mike, thesis a good description of the events, However you need to go on and explain in greater depth. Who created these awards events? What are they for? Who ultimately benefits from Awards season?
