my thoughts on telling lies
telling lies is a short film that portrays the common use of lies and the deterioration lies can cause. The use of colours illustrate when lies are used and their detrimental impact upon the conversations. the man featuring in all the telephone calls at the start has an arrogant tone about his achievements last night but as the lies progress it his voice starts breaking up showing the discomfort of him.The short film also shows that every one lies as the people on the phone vary in age and gender the common denominator is the lies and shows the large presents of lies within society.

60 second review
My sixty second challenge is difficult to analyse because unfortunately you can't hear anything .It also lacks creativity and imagination as it is just me talking consequently it was quite boring. However it would have been informative if you could hear. So in conclusion, my 60 second challenge was a failure and a minute you will never get back!!!

film review
Film review - The Rise
The Rise consists of drugs , drama, friendship, love, violence and is action packed for a jaw dropping unforgettable 108 minutes. Out for revenge, recent parolee Harvey Miller and his three best friends plan to rob the local drug lord of Leeds responsible for Harvey's stint behind bars. Fresh from Prison Harvey without a penny to his name plans to change his life with a vengeance hoping to rekindle his relationship with his long term partner Vanessa and leave England in search of peace.
The film is cleverly constructed as it starts with a reverse chronology as the policeman who caught him is interrogating him after the robbery. This tactic draws the viewers attention like a moth to a flame ; the viewers are desperately wanting to find out the story behind Harvey which unfolds thought the duration of the film. What i like about the film is the contrasting and ever changing sub genres from having a laugh in a night club to planning their robbery. That quick tempo and the chameleon like nature of this film means that each and every viewer can feel empathy for a particular theme. Subsequently this film was put forward for 4 different awards and was heavily praised following it's release.

Ralph film reviw
Ralph review Michael Hodsdon 17/09/14
Ralph is a romantic film which conveys multiple themes and is exaggerated by the ever developing plot in its fourteen minute duration .Fresh off the euro tunnel in search for girl he desires (Clair) Ralph goes to call Clair; unfortunately he has a number missing. The sound suddenly rises as Ralph finds himself in strife and the amount of French being spoken shows how alienated he is in unknown and followed by a series of close ups and the lighting dropping strongly suggest the theme of loneliness.
In contrast, as Ralph's fortune starts to change as he meets a waitress who feels sympathy for him and offers to take him into Marseille which coincides with change in lighting from the dark dingy doldrums of the train station to the bright glorious sunshine because a new theme of love or friendship was introduced. The lighting is also key in the final scene as Ralph's girl of his dreams appears and the to Ralph's disappointment she is accompanied by a boy she had met; Seeing this unfold the waitress kisses Ralph goodbye and disappears whilst the French sun goes down.
