Ralph film reviw

Ralph review Michael Hodsdon 17/09/14 Ralph is a romantic film which conveys multiple themes and is exaggerated by the ever developing plot in its fourteen minute duration .Fresh off the euro tunnel in search for girl he desires (Clair) Ralph goes to call Clair; unfortunately he has a number missing. The sound suddenly rises as Ralph finds himself in strife and the amount of French being spoken shows how alienated he is in unknown and followed by a series of close ups and the lighting dropping strongly suggest the theme of loneliness. In contrast, as Ralph's fortune starts to change as he meets a waitress who feels sympathy for him and offers to take him into Marseille which coincides with change in lighting from the dark dingy doldrums of the train station to the bright glorious sunshine because a new theme of love or friendship was introduced. The lighting is also key in the final scene as Ralph's girl of his dreams appears and the to Ralph's disappointment she is accompanied by a boy she had met; Seeing this unfold the waitress kisses Ralph goodbye and disappears whilst the French sun goes down.
